Our Story

Former owners and Yazzbar founders Penny Carlisle and Harvey Walsh moved to Yass in 2010 and in 2014 proudly opened Yazzbar to share the Canberra Districts best wines, produce, and as a platform for talented local musicians. Their intention has been to celebrate and showcase the local wines, and to do so in a venue that is supported by local residents.

Yazzbar Manager, Deb Hamilton, joined Yazzbar in 2017, and took over as Manager in 2020. Deb has had her own business in Canberra, has worked overseas and with thirty years in hospitality brings experience, energy and a love for what she is doing.

Debs purchased The Yazzbar in November 2021 and will proudly keep the Yazzbar Tradition
